PLAY
GETTING STARTED:
1) Before applying for a character, you should read the Rules and the FAQ and make sure your desired character is available.
2) Once you are accepted, create a new journal for your character and join the main community: omg_kkm. In your character profile, please leave a description of your character. It can be as short or as long as you like. (Profile examples: IC Gisela; OOC Anissina)
3) With your character journal, you will need to track the following posts: Discussion, Absences.
4) It isn't a requirement, but you may want to add other character journals to yours. Here is a quick an easy way to add them all at once.
PLAYING:
1) All interaction must be tagged or posted in the main Comm. If gameplay happens off-site (on character journals, email, IM...), it needs to be posted to the comm to be counted as a canon event. No links, please.
2) Label each post with the current RP day - if you don’t know, ask a mod - state the approximate time and location when appropriate.
3) One RP day equals two actual weeks. If an RP day needs an extension or to be abbreviated, we will do a mod post about it. KEEP UP! If you start falling behind, be creative and write your way out of it. Talk to us if you are having trouble. Movement is important for circulation in the body and the RP!
4) When you want to comment as yourself, use the OOC label in parenthesis: (OOC: Blah blah.)
5) You may post images, diaries, summaries of activity, cosplay photos, character descriptions, memes, or anything else done in character on your character's journal, but please keep them behind a cut and label them appropriately. Do not use it for off-topic posts that do not concern your character or the RP. Do not use it for official game play. Remember, nothing that happens there will be considered RP-canon.
6) If you have questions, contact a mod or ask in the FAQ post. If you have suggestions or something you want to discuss, post to the Discussion post. If you will be away or slow for a period of time, drop a note in the Absences post.
7) RP-related fanfics or fanart can all be posted on our sister community, omg_fandom.
8) If you have some irresistible brainchild of a plot twist that involves killing (a character, not an NPC), noticeable destruction of the castle, starting a war, sending characters away from the castle for more than a day trip, or anything else that would affect all or several players like a gender-switching, please post it to Discussion first. Or if you want it to be a surprise/secret, contact a mod directly.
9) Activity checks are typically once a month and will be posted to the main comm.
