So, after four days, I've finally settled in the dorm. My three roommates are great (as in quiet and nice), and so far, everything has worked out well. This weekend and the last few days went by pretty uneventfully. Right now, I've just begun to get ready for LSU's move-in, which is on the 18th; classes start on the 23rd. About 20 minutes ago, I finished grading about 25 Princeton Review n-SAT essays online. Most were typical, cookie-cutter responses (One example ... In conclusion, ...), some unfinished, that students had to spit out in 25 minutes, though there were a handful of well-written, unorthodox essays that I graded. Yes, I was a victim of the hype; I absolutely had to have Doom 3 on its release date, this past Wednesday. It's a beautifully rendered game and probably is the first game that introduces us to cinematic gaming. Yesterday and today were quite eventful.

While I was waiting for the technicians to change the oil in my dad's minivan, an old guy walked into the Mazda parts store, purchased a 626 fuel filter, and tried to hit on the sales clerk for 10 minutes. He was unsuccessful.

The first real SAT class is now over. The class itself wasn't bad, but driving everyday (save for one night in the hotel) to Lafayette and getting tests graded at around 8:00 at night half of the time was a pain.
