Two weeks ago I saw the amazing Jo Quail at St Leonard's church in Shoreditch. This was the first time I'd seen her perform with a full backing ensemble. Left home at 7.55 and got there at 9.05, so not bad considering there was a 10minute wait for the bus outside my house. I've decided to get the bus to Leytonstone every morning, but try to walk home every evening. Even that 0.8 miles a day should help get rid of some of the lethargy in my legs, caused by 6 months of rarely leaving my flat ( Read more... )

From today I'll be working for this guy. In time I'll be analysing genome sequencing data to try and discover what some of the causes of motor neurone disease (more properly known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) are. Like wot that black hole guy has.
