My boss lost the bureaucratic battles so tomorrow I hand in my laptop and all my work accounts are closed. Should have been working today, but it was so nice outside I went for a walk round Leyton Flats. Increased the distance I've walked in the last fortnight by a hundredfold.
Almost all the snow had gone, but some wonderful colours with the low sun and autumn leaves. And plenty of birds skating on the ice.

Tuesday the head of my department asked me what I was doing next. As I don't have anything lined up yet he mentioned one of my US colleagues had got funding for a stand-alone project which they needed someone to work on, and she thought my skills would be suitable. I was more interested in the building of the Louvre rather than the artwork in it. Too big a place to see in one short afternoon, but glad I made the trip. Some nice statues, but I've never been a fan of Italian religious oils and they do have an awful lot of them there.

Lucha Brittania are a masked Mexican wrestling troup. I'd seen them from afar a couple of times before at bigger venues, but never one I was allowed to take my camera into. Hence last Friday at the Resistence Gallery was quite a temptation, and made a refreshing change from dimly lit gig photos (still have several hundred blacklog!)

At 4pm today I told my 'project leader' that the project was finished. About 10 weeks I've been doing this, mainly full time. It's 'only' 1100 lines of code, but it's the most complex thing I've ever tackled.
