The Grampians mountain range has undergone some geological change as a result of the rather unusual amounts of rain there. The land slide I could get a semi-decent photo of looks like this:

Realisation
I've realised another way in which I, and other subgroups, upset the status apple cart for people who see themselves as having a right to control me through reward systems. Rant #237c : Re "Why do you care what other people think?"
Yesterday I was disappointed to hear the question come out of the mouth of a professional neuropsychologist in casual conversation. It was framed as "Wouldn't it be lovely if you could stop caring what other people think of you?" I'm afraid I was not very diplomatic in my response.

Missed opportunity for Libertarians to prove their theory?
It is tragedies like this that I find distressing when I have been party or witness to declarations by pure capitalists, Libertarians and their ilk that taxes are evil and that spontaneous charitable acts by individuals and organisations will fill the void now covered by taxpayer funded government programs ( Read more... )
