Chiming in late regarding the Lantern Festival:

The Festival was, indeed, just another opportunity for our friendly neighborhood Sirius to scuffle with his little schoolmates. Absolutely nothing new in that aspect. Honestly, gentlemen, you could add some variety to your encounters. (Personally, I think this latest one has warped Sirius' spurned lover's head. Enthusiasm to that degree is unhealthy.)

For what they were, I did enjoy the students' lanterns. Charming, in a gluey sort of way.

Of course, no amount of enchanted paper toys could distract one from the amusing spectacle of the younger Mr. Malfoy sputtering pondwater. You might want to start having the house elves carry around an emergency kit for your rather unfortunate son, Lucius.

Considering these events, it was proportionately quite fortunate I thought to lay in provisions. Ones which sinistra and potions_master were quite grateful for, I'm sure. Perhaps potions_master was a little too grateful. Nevertheless, he is a wonderful dancer, as always.
