My social life continues to be weirdly amazing and occasionally just weird.
My job is soul-sucking and mindless, but I get a lot of knitting done.
It is supposed to freeze tonight.

So I went skiing today. While I was sitting in the lodge putting my gear on, a buddy spotted me and came over. Last I knew this buddy was splitting his time between Iraq and Hawaii so I was stunned. Sometimes it's really awesome to ski as well as I do at such a small resort in such a small town. Like those times when people I barely know give me a discount on ski maintenance. That had to have been a combination of reputation and connections because it certainly wasn't our long history of close friendship. Pretty cool. -

So, I hate my job. With enthusiasm. It has all of the bullshit of my last job but with less pay. Obviously I'm still looking for work. I'm remarkably optimistic though; I'm absolutely sure something perfect will come along soon and so I'm determined not to settle for anything less than what I want. I'm home for lunch. While I'm still unemployed, today I'm working with my stepdad hauling rocks. (He's a mason. I believe the proper term for me is "mule.")
It's actually kinda fun.
