Just remember what you have there in Syracuse. The grass always looks greener on the other side, but once you get there it isn't greener. I bet you had lots of times by yourself without anyone around and now you have Tim. Love him and stop looking backwards. Always look forwards.

oh, I know what I have here.. trust me...otherwise I wouldn't be here...

and I don't think it's bad to look back once in a while... as long as you don't get caught up in it.

it makes me feel good to know that someone else (that I know personally) loves that damn city as much as I do. It's so strange because I only lived there a little over a year but in that time it just really got in my heart. I don't know.. it just feels like home, you know?

i was only there for seven months and i still feel like i left a chunck of my body. i've never lived anywhere for more than two years of my life, and until i found austin, no place has ever felt like home to me. i miss it.

I've only been to Austin once, and that was for a Science Fiction Convention called ArmadilloCon, I think in 1982. It was fun! I remember one room party where George R.R. Martin read from parts of his (then) new book, The Armageddon Rag. My wife painted her face and dressed as a vampire, caftan and all, and I wore normal clothes aside from a bloody neck, and we went walking "the strip" of jam-packed sidewalks well after midnight, amusing the drunken latenight clubbing gawkers. We still chuckle when we remember that... ah the fun of being 21, drunk, high, dressed funny, and in a strange city far far from home...
