This is probably a direct quote from my middle school years: "I'm never going to do drugs or drink. I'm never going to smoke cigarettes or anything. That's nasty, and I care about my body and lungs." Well we all know how well those standards stayed in tact.

You sound quite a lot like me not so long ago.
Whatever your stresses may be about growing up and doing the unorthodox or illegal, I think you're ultimately right in that your experiences make you well rounded. Its true, I mean in my opinion i just wanna experience as much as I can, and these years are the best time to do that. And about hiding yourself from your parents.. I feel you, I mean i even have to hide my ears now. But there will come a time when you'll feel more comfortable with saying "well fuck. this is who i am." and they'll adjust, they always do.

And I think your rambling is incredibly healthy and you are a very wise young man.

this just reminds me how at the end of last yera mistermartin told us to keep our journals from his class forever. adn he said we might look back adn say, "yeha man , i was right" or " oh god, why did i say that". but he implied through that, that hopefully you would be glad that you don't think like how you did in high school, or middle school if you want.
