An Actual Update, Since My "Q" Key is No Longer Where the "A" Should Be

So my house mom is really weird.  We're a thirty minute walk from the school -- at a really brisk pace -- and she couldn't, for the life of her, understand why I wanted a bus pass.  You know, because an umbrella when walking in a deluge is totally acceptable cover.  She also likes to cook, but only because she doesn't drink milk, or like butter or ( Read more... )

That is a horrible picture, though I am at least glad that you got me one. Are there any of him smiling and not looking kinda creepy? I would like to show him off a little more than this picture would allow me to do without a lot of "oh, but this is him in a movie..." maybe?

I'm sorry you have to deal with a weird mom and a crappy ride. Here, we live in a dormitory, which is awesome and crappy for all sorts of reasons. Also, try and find a bike. As I stated in a previous post, not owning a bike makes you a sad, sorry person. It was probably a 20 minute walk to campus from our place, but it's less than 5 minutes on a bike, if you catch the couple lights. Also, it makes going to the city square or the store really easy.

Also, ask around about discounts for students. Here, along with your student id comes a "Semester Ticket" that lets us ride the bus for free and get discounts in tons of places.

Bonnce chance avec ton cours!

I actually got a bus pass from the woman who is escorting us -- apparently the program is going to reimburse her for it, even though my house mom was supposed to get it for me. And yeah, the student discount everywhere is kinda awesome...

Oh, I'm still enjoying it. We seem to get along most times, but it's more than a little more amusing to tell the less-than-great stories. She's just a little weird.
