the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the daffodils have sprouted... it's 60° out, on its way back up to 80. we had the windows open in the house all day saturday... and yesterday... and i'm about to go do it again today. i love spring! :) -

my 2009 travel has started auspiciously; i'm headed down to dallas via CLT, and in first class all the way. i got the notification email for my rdu-clt upgrade a couple days ago - early enough to select a non-bulkhead seat - and had managed to snag an exit row aisle on the long clt-dfw hop, so things were starting off well.

about 6 weeks ago, callmetc & jpenamelist came to visit us and run the raleigh half-marathon with thebroomecloset. in preparation for the run, we hosted a pastafarian pastravaganza the evening before... bluemeg & cindrax (with julesk, wahyagar, and the young'un in tow) brought over their automatic pastamaker, thebroomecloset and i broke out our hand-cranked pasta roller pasta roller, and we had a pasta deathmatch ( Read more... ) -
