Chicago Pics - Part 3

Dec 20, 2009 21:56

Please don't read this post if you are hungry. It contains images of, mostly me, tucking into all things yummy! What's a visit to Chicago without treating yourself, right?

The pictures also include some of the more random and interesting things we stumbled upon during out visit.

It's the last part in my three part tour of Chicago. Enjoy!

Those sculptures are amazing but I think the pizza and the brownie top this photo shoot from you.

Viv, I could not stop eating. Chicago just smelt fantastic. That pizza lasted us a whole day, it was a snack, then lunch, then dinner. It had soooooooo much filling, one slice filled my tummy up, a rare feat considering I'm a pretty big eater!.

You don't like mint? I can see why the brownie wouldn't appeal.

The pizza was AMAZING. I can never top it. It has ruined pizza forever for me. Even New York pizza couldn't compare, sadly.

Ok, that dress is GORGEOUS. And all that food, god, you have made me so hungry! *stomach growl*

OMG Oz park, I would freak out!!! Eeeek! (I love TWoO) :D

Those giant people, they are from a famous painting, are they not? I certainly recognise them but, god, I wouldn't like them to fall on me!

It looks like such a wonderful city, I'm glad I could see all of your pictures. Beautiful.

I loved it the first time I saw it. It's a maxi my surfwear label Billabong.

Me too! I drove my boyfriend nuts because I insisted on finding all the sculptures hidden in the park before I would leave! :-)

I couldn't answer that to be honest. I will have to look into it, but yes, it's certainly symbolic of America in some capacity.

I really am so very jealous that you went to Chicago. I hope to visit there next summer. The food looked delish!

I do hope you get to visit next year. It's a beautifully picturesque city and I'm sure you will find it a nice contrast to New York.

Come with an empty stomach, you will tempted around every corner.

mel, what fun! i was in a chicago suburb in october with mickiebg, but last year when i visited her, we went into chicago to see "jersey boys", which i loved. we also went to the "bean", but everything else you posted is new to me. the fountains are glorious, and the sculptures are interesting. that deep dish pizza does look quite tasty...but the hershey's confection looks like a must-eat! wonderful posts.

Chicago had much more than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised as all the delightful things I found. I truly had no idea it was so touristy. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again!

I hope you will get another chance to visit sometime soon.

The pizza was far beyond my wildest dreams. I doubt I will see one like it again.

BTW- Locks of Love will accept my hair. I sent it off in the post last week. Thank you for all your help. I'm thankful I can help such a wonderful cause.
