Seeing a counsellor has helped me a great deal to overcome alot of things and also come to a realisation about alot of things in my life... Things aren't as simple as they seem... and little do we know the slightest things in our childhood do leave scars... created unknowingly of course.. no one is to be blame.. none of us are perfect.. and we are all newbies to this despite religions saying that we have lived many lifetimes....

We really should not be too hard on ourselves!

Looking forward to seeing u in Jan!

Pearl, I've just caught up on your LJ... and I'm so glad for your enjoyable getaway. I'm all for you talking to a counsellor too, I think it'll make you even more attuned to yourself (not that you aren't), and all of us are in need of that. And unlike over here, you can see one without any stigma attached (I wanted to rip a colleague's head off when she implied that folks with bipolar depression are stir crazy ( ... )

yes, attuned is probably the right word. I've already gone to see her twice, and although I'm not thoroughly convinced I'd want to do this reguarly - will only decide after coming back from Spore - it has been pretty fun, ha ha! Having a neutral space to just talk about yourself for one solid hour - quite a luxury!

Re Alvin: HAHA! Nah, it's because Khim emailed me recently because he said I somehow came up in conversation, and we've been catching up - so that's why I'm prob top of mind for Alvin right now - cos no doubt Khim has been feeding him with updates :) I told them I couldn't remember Paul Rosario's name cos you kept on calling him The Furby, HAHAHAHA!

Nooooo Furby didn't originate from me, that nick came from you -- "furby caught in headlights" remember???

btw, richard lord is alive and kicking -- he was a moderator at this year's writers' festival. he's really quite the respected figure in the local literary scene. heh... memories, eh?

HAHAH ok, so I didn't tell him who came up with it, but I told him about who couldn't stop saying it, hehehe... Khim agreed Paul looked like a furby anyway, hahaha. FURBY IN THE HEADLIGHTS, HahahahaHAHAHA!!

Of course I remember Richard LLLORD! I remember we used to gather in the stairwell for cigarettes and bitch and gripe about what we thought his salary was. I kinda miss the Paperclip days! I will never forget the amazing Tom Yam mee sua with the egg broken into it and the loverly fried fish bits. Wah lau...
