Hanging out on the north side with friends on dirty couches in my buddy's back yard made of dirt and weeds. Turns out someone quit on that Forest Service trail crew I was trying to get on so now I've got a job!  I'll be living near Eureka MT and making good money hiking and working. The work should last until around October when I'll head back to Eugene for the winter.  The work involves being on fire reserve for the district which gives me the necisarry ( Read more... )

I just graduated a few minutes ago.  Now I'm officially in the real world.  I wish I had worked up the courage to tell some of my proffesors how much I enjoyed their classes but in my typical detached fashion I decided to leave it alone.  So now I'm dealing with graduation like I do with all transitional periods in my life, drinking.  It helps me ( Read more... )

My friends dog bit me in the face tonight.  I learned two things
1) never put your face that close to a dog unless you see it on a daily basis.
2) my first instinct when a dog bites my face is to back away and spill beer on the carpet not punch it in the throat (who knew?)
