Summer winding down....
Nearly mid August already and another Summer by the wayside. I wont miss it, been too damned hot, but I always stop to ponder a bit with seasons change. The end of a nearly 3 year nightmare....
Well, its now official. Bumblenuts is toast. Yesterday they called him to public works and gave him a letter of intent to terminate. Since this is the government, it means he has 30 days to show cause why he shouldnt be fired. He couldnt come up with a valid reason in 30 YEARS and NOBODY will go to bat for him. While cleaning out my glove compartment 'tother day, I found a knock off Ipod thing I got from Hollywood a few years ago. Today my ass is dragging. Hunts told me last night he was calling out so I called Connie this AM and asked if she wanted the shift and she took it. I was up til 3 last night, just couldnt get to sleep. Getting up at 9:30 wasnt helpful either. The heat is tolling me as well. Family, why I have almost none....
Its summer and the usual wackiness is going on at the Highcienda. I decided since I'm not going to live forever, I'd take a home equity loan out, get front and back decks put on the Highcienda and have a hot tub installed. So far so good. 5 days off, heat and holiday....
I took Thursday last off because it was the last cool-ish day in sight for a spell. Duck Dick and I hung the gutters on the Highcienda which was a project that was waiting and I'm glad its done. I found and reconnected to a couple of my hockey kids on FB yesterday. It got me thinking how much I miss the fags and the good times. Its fun to see them grown up and living lives of their own now.
