Thought I would join and as I have joined thought I would post to introduce myself.
I'm a pretty big Palahniuk fan, his book being the first book being aimed at a target audience for adults that I actually read and well reading Invisible Monsters as a 14 year old was pretty intense.
Since then I've pretty much fallen for his style and it's heavily

I would recommend Survivor for your next read.
And as for the Choke movie, there was just so much about it I didn't like! I just think that watching Fight Club, it's just dripping with Palahniuk and his style, and Choke, just..wasn't. It wasn't even funny when it tried to be.

I think (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm just imagining this) he's done UK tours in the past. Rather brief ones though.
Have to agree with dominationx and say that the Choke movie really didn't work out. Even though I really liked Sam Rockwell and Anjelica Houston in the roles, somehow the actual plot and, crucially, the jokes just didn't translate to the big screen that well.
Though it did have a lot to live up to considering how great the Fight Club movie is.

I agree with above comment -- check out "Survivor." It's pretty good. "Snuff" was, I thought, fairly predictable, and a quick read in not-the-best of ways. As for "Choke" movie -- I enjoyed it in some respects, but not so much as a film adaptation of the book.

Your next book should probably be Choke, then Survivor, followed by Rant ... Then, tackle Snuff and Pygmy.
Fight Club as a film adaptation was great and it finally gave us Chuck fans a new favorite flick and a mainstream way to taint the non-Chuckies. Choke, I personally felt wasn't as grand a film as it could have been, but since I still adore Mr. Palahniuk, I savored every frame of film ...
(Anyone else secretly hope when you saw it at the cinema that there would be a single frame of porn spliced in as an homage to Fight Club?)
