And I firmly believe that. Honestly. Truely. 100%. I'm finding that karma seems to come out of the woodwork when shit's going wrong for me. I leave something and the situation goes from bad to worse ( Read more... )

Yep, it's certainly good that you left then. That's why it tend to be a good idea to leave when there's major management changes though, because a big mess tend to follow soon after. That's what happened with my previous job, and I managed to get out of there in time as well.

That new greeter job actually sounds a lot like what I do now. It's very much a security related position, but it's disguised as a greeter.

Yes, very much so. Young, able-bodied people who can hold back folks attempting to steal merchandise while the police are called. Definately have to be careful in that kind of situation, though. Lest someone pulls a knife out and stabs you.

A couple things... palmedo October 16 2006, 05:58:23 UTC
...that I forgot to mention till just now. One of the ASLs has been a manager before and the recieving supervisor there at Garden Ridge. They offered one position, then the other to him, and he turned both down. I don't blame him. They've swipped positions out from under him on three different occassions. Twice being a manager. I'd have said to hell with you as well.

And there's another manager who's on the verge of quitting. He's so fed up with the place that he wouldn't care if he left or not.

They're on the verge of a meltdown. I'm rather interested in going in the morning and milling around. See if I'm asked anything.
