Looking back at my posts I have noticed that I am incapable of making short posts.

We've always done an herb pot in the summer (usually with mom's help) but this year I decided to go bigger and plant a little herb garden.  We were struggling to find a good spot for an herb pot that got sun but was away from the dog (she ate all our basil last year!).  But finding a spot for planting herbs?  Easy peasy!

Our crazy little furball of love turns one tomorrow.  Maybe being a May Day baby is why she's so fiesty!  I'm embarassed to admit that I get a little misty eyed looking back at the photos of her since she came home late last June. She's a big proper dog now! (Well, not really proper, she's still a hellion of a puppy most of the time.)

I'm in love with the "Lunch to Go" from Surdyks. I get soup and sandwiches from them a couple of times a week but this is my newfound passion. Healty it's not, but at least it's a reasonable portion. Here's a pic of our saple tins that we got to test size. It is the 4 oz after all. Obviously there's a lot of variety in spice ammounts but the 4 oz fits well in our drawer and contains most of the spices we already own. When we got samples we did get a bigger one as well that works well for bigger whole spices like coriander.

I am going to be ordering a big batch of these spice tins for our spices as well as some other organization of crafty stuff.  We've also got something similar with a magnet on the back that we use in the medicine cabinet in our bathroom.
