We're living in Oak Forest, so just down to road from Waltrip! I love it because you can avoid people you have no desire to see, yet have your own little house and bars and great neighbors. But the flooding definitely sucks. Where are you?

I thought you were in Oak Forest. That's where i weathered the storm - the first storm. I wonder how things went for her after we left and the second storm came in. Hmmm. Anyway, i'm in the montrose and i don't know my neighbors.

To find a bit of silver lining, we were able to get rid of a lot of stuff that we probably didn't use anyway. The toughest parts were getting rid of my warped records, and the bottom shelf of my book case, which held a number of (emotionally) important books.

Our house is becoming totally streamlined now, though.

Thanks. I know that a lot of people have so much to deal with, so I try to keep perspective, but I still feel sorry for myself sometimes, anyway! :)
