So I'm sitting in the ER with Garrett... He got hit by a car while skateboarding tonight and has multiple compound fractures in his right leg.  Surgery tomorrow.  Worst month of my life!   I'm only assuming that it can only get better. :/

My mom passed away yesterday morning.  She was the most amazing woman I've ever known.

If you're able to come to the following events, I would really like that:  Vigil and Rosary on Thursday at 7 p.m.; Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 a.m.; both at St. Rose of Lima, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, TX  77018.

So, my mom's cancer is back.  Well, it never actually went completely away to begin with, but now it's SUPER back.  It's pretty scary, but less so than last time.  I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that with the first go-round, it was such a shock that I was running on auto-pilot.  I literally alternated between shock, screaming/crying ( Read more... )

Garrett and I are getting married on April 28th!

Yay!

We're getting married in Wimberley, TX along a beautiful creek.  It's going to be a pretty small wedding, but don't worry!  We'll have a big blowout to celebrate makin' it legal when we get back from our honeymoon!!!

One thing that I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate is when people that I don't know, or barely know tell me, "you take care of your mom, you hear."  Like that's their contribution.  Like by saying that, they're some sort of authoritative figure who has "put me in my place."  Like if they didn't say it, I'd be out all night, getting drunk and doing blow ( Read more... )
