I'm going to be down in the valley for the next two weeks! I will be arrive Friday night and all will be awesome. I really miss the warm weather back home. The weather in Virginia is unpredicatable. I'm heading out into the field for a 5 day field exercise. It should be hard and cold. I hope it does not snow too much while I am outside! Stay warm!

If you didn't already know, I'm planning on buying a house when I move to the Pensacola area. I should be moving there early next year. The property there is cheap! I might need some roomies to help take up space. Now the only question is what the heck am I gonna do with 3 bedrooms?!

Yesterday we had an Avaation Theme day. A section of MV-22 Ospreys gave us a fly by and landed in front of us. It was the first time I have ever seen them in person. They are going to the future of Marine Aviation in regards to troop transfer.

I had a big test this past Friday. I had to wander around in the woods finding objectives with a map and compass. My test for Land Navigation was an all day event, and we are given 8 hours to find 10 objectives ( Read more... )

I've been real busy with training these past few weeks. I spent a week in the woods last week for our first Field Exercise (FEX). Did a lot of training... We did squad attacks in the the offense, squad live fire attacks in the day AND night, called in close air support from Harriers and even got to get on the radio and called in some artillery ( Read more... )
