The day was grey, cold, wet, and made even worse by intermittent snow and hail and various nasty and lingering coughs and colds.  But inside my folks' place it was warm and cozy, and made cozier still by good food, good songs, and great company.

Yes, it was wonderful once again! (Great pix, btw!)
But you left out yourself, my dear. You were very much the center of this get-together, singing your heart out next to Jeff (when you weren't taking Tallis up to pee for the nth time, hovering over the dining room table to be sure that everyone got food, chatting a bit with everyone and toting every baby). Your voice accompanied his, leading us all in song and making a very good duo, should you ever decide that teaching is just too much.
Happy Birthday, Paze. May you always know you have that kind of warm atmosphere and lyrical air around you, as figurative if not actual, support and love. You deserve it!

Thank you, but really and truly, everyone made the party fun, and I did very very little. (I was actually kicking myself, later, that I didn't get a chance to talk with everyone, and that I missed out on toting Ada, even though I meant to!) But I agree with you that it was fun, and I second your hope for the continued love and company and support of family and friends!

Oh, man, I am so sorry I missed it, but given just how sick I am now, I think everyone should be grateful I wasn't there to spread the contagion. :P
