thanks go to hotnoodle for recommending ko jum, the island before this dusty land of speedos & motorcycle taxis, it's gorgeous. i wouldn't recommend it if you want to do anything other than lay in your hammock sipping iced coconut milk & reading in between dips in the sea but if laziness is what you're after, and solitude then it's right up your proverbial ( Read more... )

i think we've discovered maybe the most untouristy island in all of thailand... ko tarutao... though it was our first so we can't be sure. but it is a national park, and all that is there is some cabins, a restaurant & a co-op shop so it'll be hard to beat ( Read more... )
