First week back at West Point was the same as usual; easy. They basically give us a week to get our rooms, school gear, etc. together. Gives the chain of command time to sort itself out and for everyone to figure out their new jobs. My new plebe is a tennis player, and she seems easy enough to deal with. So this past week was army-airforce week, a week of doing pushups, and being hooah. We usually wear BDUs the whole week, but for some reason they decided that we couldn't wear BDUs until Thursday because of the Student Ethics committee staying with us. So I spent an extremely relaxing and long overdue weekend at UMASS Amherst this weekend. The trip down took about eleven hours, due to several delays and an irritating bus schedule that had not been updated on the internet.
