This is one of those weird days that seems to simultaneously being going very quickly and yet dragging its feet.

I'm a nervous wreck. I just found out that I'll be flying solor on the presentation I have scheduled today. There's a good reason for it, at least. My boss was scheduled to go with me, but a minor surgery his wife had Friday suddenly mushroomed into a very big deal. Very happy news: it seems that all the blood came out of the wool pantsuit I was wearing when I fell. It was all over the trousers and the jacket- no matter how many times I see it, it still always seems crazy how much a head wound can bleed! Unto shoe manufacturers: women who wear size 5 like to wear high heels, too!!! It's bad enough that consignment stores and such rarely have fives; now retail sites are starting to show shoes no larger than 5.5 or 6!

Saturday evening Tommy and I had a lovely, lovely dinner at the Celestial, in celebration of the one year anniversary of our marriage. Wow. I was never an Axl fan or a Guns-n-Roses fan (although I always have liked Sweet Child o Mine), but I'm still kind of sad to see that Axl Rose is not aging well at all.

Anyone else having trouble with gmail? I haven't been able to get in once this morning.

I think we skipped autumn here. Last week the temps were upper eighties and low nineties, and all this week it's been very cold so far.

My new nephew is just adorable! It was fun to get to see him and hold him!
