I've spent the last few days 'chain-reading' Patricia Cornwell's 'Kay Scarpetta' seriess. And now we keep getting silent phone calls. Scary. Bit like watching a psychological thriller and then hearing noises in the house when on your own that you are almost, but not quite 100% sure is just the boiler.
Now that I have a job offer I'm in the odd situation of having to ring up anyone who offers me an interview to decline. Don't think I'm expecting any more now so can get on with looking forward to starting the new job. Silly it is looking for work for eight months then getting three job offers in four working days.
Luckily (given that my current NHS appointment ends at midnight tonight), I was offered a new fulltime job today. I will be working as an 'Accommodation Worker' at a new project for people who would otherwise be homeless and based in Gilesgate. Only downside is lots of shiftwork (there needs to be someone on-site 24/7) but I'm sure I can cope :)
Hello. First post on LiveJournal. My main blog is at www.paulleake.org.uk mostly concentrating on politics and such. I may well add something more personal here about what I've been up to.
