Today I called my mom to just see how she was doing. She casually informed me that yesterday she and her boyfriend got married. Without telling me.

The school year is over and summer has arrived at last! I guess I've gone back to my old lurking ways lately - I don't seem to have much to say, and so I've just stayed away from LJ. Not much to say today, either! -

Today is the first Easter in over 20 years that I haven't spent with my mother. So sad that this situation has progressed to such a horrible state. -

We have Spring Break this week. It's been really great so far: sleeping in, some shopping, family time, etc. One of the things I like to do while on break, other than reading and cooking, is to watch lots of movies and catch up on tv shows on the DVR. Took my last Accutane capsule today - I am in celebration mode! Glad that I did it, glad that it's over... and a little scared of what might happen now! -

I took my daughter back to the doctor on Tuesday. She now has pneumonia, a sinus infection, and an ear infection! I'm really pretty angry at her doctor. I never really thought that she had the flu to begin with, and couldn't understand how she could still run a fever of 103 while taking Tamiflu. We had a snow day today; first one all winter. We really didn't get that much snow, but since so many of our bus routes are extremely rural, the school district usually shuts down just in case. It's been a nice quiet day, spent watching The Big Bang Theory and Top Gear. I made a big pot of Taco Soup and cornbread for supper, and now we're all ( Read more... )
