Star Wars: The Very Beginning

The other day, I re-read Splinter of the Mind's Eye by Alan Dean Foster, the mother of all Lucas-shafted Star Wars Expanded Universe books (the overt Luke/Leia! Darth Vader who totters!). Amused, I figured I'd read the Lucas's original novelisation of A New Hope, too ( Read more... )

Oh yes. Bree. Hurrr. I just want to mess up her perfect hair and make her talk about muffin recipes until I'm a wee puddle of warm goo. Mmmm.

(And to think I used to dislike Marcia Cross, back in her Melrose Place days...)

Not so much on the IncestYay, but the HoYay--well, even I can appreciate that, much of the time...

I didn't know they did that flavour, either -- I was ecstatic. Now, if only I could get that Ben & Jerry's that has cookie dough...

Bree. Parquet. Ommm....

I don't know why it took me this long to realise how utterly shaggable Bree is. I must've not been paying attention or something.

As for the prices, it's the darn problem about living so far away from the US. But at least I don't have to fly to a different country any more to get them. ;)

Do you know right now they have peanut butter filled Oreo cookies over here? I've not tried them yet, but I'm willing to share that or other Americana stuff you'd like sent. :)

I haven't read the original novelization and now that the parentals are gone, I'll be able to catch up on a LOT of reading. Whee!

Though I've grown to appreciate bacon, Pop-Tarts, Phish Food, and mac&cheese thanks to you Americans, peanut butter is still on the list of blech. ;P However, those chocolate-dipped mint Oreos are worth every indecent thing I've ever done on, erm, oiled merbau floors.

The novelisation is totally funky, as was SotME! So strange to read after the prequels and whatnot.
