Making butter
After running out of organic butter and not being able to order more (well, I did, but the warehouse was out), I decided to make my own. It's really simple (I'm told), and requires at the least one ingredient. I opted to make cultured butter, as it has a nicer flavor and I'm told the churning is easier. A spin on classic french toast
Okay, I feel like this has been done before but I've never seen it. Anyway, "it" is french toast (minus the cinnamon and vanilla), with slices of vidahlia onion cooked onto one side. Then, I layered mozzarella cheese (I only had the cheap kind, but maybe next time I'll try fresh mozzarella) and tomato slices. Popped under the broiler for a few ( Read more... ) -

I ordered a mandolin yesterday! It should arrive sometime next week. WHile searching, I found some really gorgeous ones, but of course I'm limited to the cheap. But, if I play well and maybe someday make money off of it (not sure how I'd do that, but *IF*), then maybe I could buy an Eastman. *drool ( Read more... ) -
Trip to the ER.
We had a fun day yesterday. As I was getting out of the shower around 7 yesterday evening, I heard Isaac awake form his nap. Two unusual things about that- one, he usually doesn't nap but did yesterday, and two, when he does nap it's usually for 3 hours, but he had only been asleep for about 30 minutes.
