First, "Low colostral IgA associated with cow's milk allergy". If I have my thinking cap on, that means that having a IgA (an immunoglobulin) deficiency in a woman's colostrum (the milk right after birth) is linked with her child developing a cow's milk allergy. Question about colostrum...
So my son has (or had) a dairy allergy, and since he's not nursing very much anymore (2-3 times per day on average) I thought I'd try to eat some cheese, and see if it causes problems with him. Yikes.This poor woman has two older daughters, two year old triplets, and now newborn quadruplets! Nine kids in a one-bedroom apartment! The triplets were conceived with fertility treatments, but the quads were conceived naturally. I'm hoping she gets fixed at this point ( Read more... ) -

So I'm starting to think of pediatricians for my baby (due in Oct). I don't plan to vaccinate, or to do well-baby visits nearly as often as they are recommended, but I would like to take my daughter in post-birth for a check-up. My concern is mainly the CPS scare. My kid is so cute. Yes, I know, all kids are cute to their mothers. Anyway, I just love when he says "no" to me. Sounds kind of weird, I know, but whatever. I see it as him aserting his individuality, which I think is a sign of his growing independence- so obviously a good thing. weird pregnancy stuff...
Just like with Isaac's pregnancy, I'm starting to dislike the taste of apples. They start to have a cigarette-butt-like aftertaste, which is of course very unappealing. Haven't started to crave the fumes of gasoline yet, but then again I haven't been to the gas station very often. -

Oh, poor kid. I hate to see what her parents are like when she's dating!
