Yes. I'm still alive. Still plodding on.
Out of a fit of whimsy a few minutes ago, I decided to have a look at the state of my account with my electricity supplier, given all the recent doom and gloom forecast relating to the cost of such utilities, and the general state of the national economy for the next couple of years...

Whilst I have lived here, Jim, Gordon (and his wife, never met the lady) have corpsed it, and Mad Valerie has been in and out of hospital, and has now disappeared.
Wheezy Jeff got taken away in an ambo about a week ago, and hasn't been seen since.

Incredibly Awesome!*

My hot water system seems to have stopped dispensing hot water. There is some in the tank, but it's now warm, as opposed to actually hot. The good news is that I am fairly confident I can fix this, if it is the element that has gone.
Ballache one could do without though.

Appropriateness
I've umm and ahhed over the appropriateness of continuing to log nonsense here, given the Russian ownwership of LJ. There is rapidly approaching 22 years of nonsense, and I am loath to abandon it to some kind of digital hinterland. Plus, Russia != Kremlin, despite the stranglehold that Pootypoot seems to have on the Russian state.

Hello.
I'm still alive, despite the best efforts of an infection in my leg I seem to have picked up from some flying blighter biting me whilst doing some gardening the other day. The bad news is that the thing is still swollen and sore, despite the antibiotics the quack issued. It is not getting any worse though, so that's something.

Will never cease. My electricity supplier appears to have started to bill on actuals, rather than some projected flight of fancy.
Less pleasing: The gubbins I ordered off Amazon were, according to Amazon, delivered by handing the parcel(s) to the resident yesterday evening. This is not a little fanciful, given that I was in a different county at ( Read more... ) -

After living here for over two years, I thought it was about time I bought a telly. So I have ordered a TV, on the never never (I shall make a point of only paying this one off once though...). And some ironmongery to hang it on the arm that came fitted to the flat when I moved in.

Stuff
Whilst my car has been mended, by the ever reliable Dale (right of frame, me behind) at D&M Motors, I am still hesitant to plant the loud pedal, even though I have done a couple of hundred miles since last tuesday at 90 plus motorway speed since then.
