I am delighted to report that Bodge 2.0 worked. In that it got me to Bolton, at a maximum speed of about 40 miles per. Bodge 3.0, involving some wire rope may have been more successful, but I set off relying on metal zip ties.

Where to start?

The football, naturally enough. The funny thing about supporting my national side at football (or pretty much any sport, come to think of it), is that there is a huge collective expectation that this time things will be different, whilst knowing deep down that it really won't be different.

1. National "unlocking" rules have been extended, especially here. This inpacts me little.

Downstairs are noisy this evening. I might have to get my angle grinder out and start cutting up bits of metal.

The gardeners appeared today, and appeared to do some actual gardening. I've planted out a rhodedendron, and dug up some of the fuchsia that succumed to the cold winter. The others, I have hopes for.

Them downstairs keep putting their rubbish in my bin. This is hugely annoying. Disproportionately so.

Tomorrow, I plan to buy one of these, take a drill to the bin, preventing such things.
