Below is an essay i for some reason wrote last summer, I didn'T even remember I wrote it until I just recently scavanged my files. I don't agree with everything in this essay anymore, but i thought it was kindda interesting to see what I thought just a year back

A group identification is required first so that individuality can be obtained. As kids grow and mature they move away from what the group thinks (in most cases) and form their own opinion of the world around them.

As for ideals...well, I tend to agree with you, that people in general don't have a moral base or any kind of ideals. Its sad, but what are you going to do about that? You can't force morals on people.

As for watching MTV because I don't want to think...bullshit. When I do watch it, its because I need some entertainment (such as Real World). If I don't want to think, I put on CNN.
