I don't normally get on LJ and bark at anyone or anything in particular but what happened at uni yesterday at 3pm was an absolute disgrace and really pissed me off.

Some idiot (all I know is that she was female) in the SRC office got on the PA and said the following:

I have to agree with you on that. When i heard that he passed away i felt really sad. He was 44 years old which is still young. He also had two kids so that made it worse. Some people regardless who they are just don't care....Either she doesn't know what it feels like or is just a cold hearted bitch...

Whoever said that is a complete idiot. Not only is it thoughtless, but its humour made by someone who has completely missed the mark.

I wasn't there to hear it but im with you pete. It was a real tragedy and I dont know how people cant see that. Even a friend from work thought it was quite funny when I told her... I was upset when I heard about it, and feel so much for his poor family during this time. I mean its hard enough losing anyone, but particularly someone like him who is so full of life, passion and incredibly unique.
