Christmas music has to be the most irritating noise I can possibly think of. Country music and Celine Dion come in at a close second. Why do people listen to Christmas music? Last year, I was editing said paper on Nabokov at around 5 AM (I usually write longer papers in 12 or 15 hour binges), and my neighbor's fire alarm apparently went off because water had leaked into it (a little counterintuitive as far as fire alarms go).
