A few weeks ago I went to Con.txt (yay!). Where among many other wonderful things, I saw thingswithwings' awesome Leverage vid Parachute. So I says to myself, "Self," I says, "this looks like a show we should watch." And I did. And it is good. Also I have been a little inspired to write a little, so, yay!

Trying to coax myself back to life here after too many months of being drained by RL. Writing is ... helping? It's fun, anyway.

Here's the story.

I almost never go to Bele Chere, because a crowded street festival in the blazing sun in the hottest part of the year is not my idea of a good time. But (a) this is supposed to be its last year, and (b) the Mountain Goats were playing, so I went for a while today. I am so glad I did! Much fun. They closed with this one -- very nice.

... until I realized that in the last 17 months it had counted 5.3 million steps. Plus sporadic use in the couple of years before that; call it 6 million. It outlasted half a dozen pairs of shoes, anyway.

I don't do a lot of real cooking, just very basic stuff. The other day I got it into my head to make crepes, which I haven't made in years. Turned out well! Mmmm. Cream cheese and blueberries for the filling, but I have enough left over to try something else in them for dinner.
