It will be super hot, so I'm taking the Roman Matron dresses. It will be cooler in the pm, so the Anglo Saxon and English Kirtle I'm also taking the camp coat (fleese coat for all time periods). I think it's too many for a weekend, but I have room in the car, so why not.
Went to the 25th White Shield but it was not very large and I passed on the feast as well. Got lost in the process of trying to find the site when your friend says...don't go the way that the directions tell you, go another way...drove about 30 miles out of the way. Oh well..
Went to a Culinary Symposium and had great fun. Got an aquamarine (that's an animal pitcher) and learned how to make cheese, make a saffron custard pie and lots of things about Ancient Roman Cooking.
It will be 3 years before the next one in the area. Oh Well
Had a very fun time at the Collegium. It had the most attendance of the 3 that I've been to and it was easy to find the location of the classes. There were many different types of classes from the beginner to the more advanced.
I had to change the layout, it was so old that the special html was getting all messed up with the changes that LJ has made over the years. At least one can read it now.
