Stephu! I'm glad to hear everything was mucho fun! Heather told me about ya'll going to see Star Wars Episode III...don't worry...I kinda thought Anakin was pretty good lookin' too! **wink wink**
Also glad you got to see Les Mis! We saw it while in London when I went, and even though I had to squint [in the nosebleed seats!] I was pretty moved.!
Glad to hear I'm not the only Anakin fan! Yeah, I was up in the balcony section, so the minute details of expression were lost on me, but Les M is so big you could almost sit anywhere and still enjoy it.
It's good. One of my favorites and in terms of story and the way the play is crafted it is better than Phantom. However, reading the book is never a bad thing to do before you go to see the musical. You get all the background you need to understand the characters' multilayered motivations and you know all the hidden ironies within the play's story, like the way everyone of the characters is connected. I think you would enjoy it, it seems to have an appeal to our age group especially. (That could be due to all the tragic love and angsty death scenes and general pukiness.) But it's a good story, I give it two thumbs up. So go to London and get yourself and good seat in Queen's. Now.
