Oil's fall to $100 won't change frugal energy useOne thing that has annoyed me as oil started to dip from its ridiculous high is that so many folks thought lower prices would mean we would "feel free to drive more" and thus prices would bounce back up. So later in the day on Tuesday, I made my resume searchable on sites like Monster, Dice and HotJobs. Starting bright and early the next day, my phone has been ringing off the hook and hasn't stopped, as I've fielded over 20 calls from recruiters and received a few more e-mails. As expected...
Well, the ax fell today, which wasn't unexpected. I told my manager that I saw it coming and had been well-prepared for it, and even went so far as to tell someone the night before that I hoped I was wrong but would have been surprised if a manager didn't come to my cube and ask if I had a minute.

Thoughts on a great book
I just finished reading one of the best books I've read, Unhooked Generation: The Truth About Why We're Still Single by Jillian Straus. The book hit on so many good points I don't know where to begin. It also had a few quotes that really summed things up beautifully and told some powerful stories.
