I understand your frustration. It's difficult dealing with unreasonable people, but I wonder how unreasonable this person really is. The entire basis of the business you work for is selling people "mother-fucking" something. It's a baseball game, a nature channel, high speed internet. This is what your business is. This guy isn't bitching about some package that's no longer available, he's bitching about you guys not giving him the one thing he wanted, and the one thing you are actually supposed to provide.
Screaming's never excusable, but when you think of your product as just a "mother-fucking baseball game" I wonder how well you can actually sympathize with your customers.
It's more that he freaked out on me because he missed a game. And that he wanted us to credit him for something he wasn't even paying for. He wouldn't have even been willing to purchase that package.
I never said he was reasonable, only that he was angry about something that wasn't his fault. As you say in your post he explained what he wanted and was given the wrong product.
That's embarrassing, especially when the product he does want is more than he can or wants to afford. Most people don't deal with embarrassment and having their shortcomings pointed out.
