I'm writing a Statistics course for an online high school. This requires me to come up with lots of data for examples, practice problems, assignments, projects and tests. I have about a decade's worth of phone bills, bank statements, pay stubs, car payment bills (for a car that's been paid off for a few years), student loan info (also paid off), gas bills, cable bills, receipts, etc. Do I need any of this stuff? Or some number of years of it ( Read more... )

I'm taking an online class (on how to create online classes) and the instructor posted an announcement today with the subject "Hump Day" reminding us that we're now halfway through the week-long course. Given that today is not only Wednesday but also Valentine's Day, I found this particularly humorous.

My dad, who doesn't use email often, just emailed the 5 immediate family members solidifying our Christmas plans. He requested only one present in the email and asked that my little brother Ryan get him a hamburger, a beer, and play a game of pool together. I just think that's super cute.
