It's been more & more apparent to me lately how little cool I have left.  It's an odd transition that I am not in the least comfortable with. 
I feel like I'm slipping away into some invisible land of lame old people that teenagers look at with disgust & annoyance.  Something has to be done. 

There are so many things I want (& need) to do...if it weren't for all this mommy business.  That sounds awful...but the dirty facts are just that.  It just takes up the majority of your time, energy & will to live.  OK, that last one is a bit of a stretch (but there are days...) but you get my drift.  I have a bajillion things around the house ( Read more... )

I am oddly sad about the mysterious passing of Heath Ledger.  I dunno...he just seemed like such a sweet, sensitive guy.  It's just sad.  I guess there's talk of an overdose...possibly Ambien.  I hate that shit.  It's evil.  I only took it one time, in the hospital after I'd had Zoe.  I had this horrible insomnia & the nurse gave me one like it was ( Read more... )

I just got back from my first appointment at the endocrinologist.  Actually it was an appointment with the nurse practitioner, who was very nice & very thorough.  I've been sent home with an enormous list of tests that I have to get done asap.  Hopefully I'll have some answers within the next week or two...to some of the non-fibro related (i think ( Read more... )

I am sick. Terribly, miserably, incapacitated-ly sick. My head feels like it’s full of cheese. It hurts to swallow, to eat or drink. I can barely talk. Zoe is turning 2 in 4 days.  I believe all the experts call this the “oppositional” phase.  Yeah, she’s really learning how to voice her own opinion.  Strong willed little turd, she is.  Wonder where she gets that?  It’s a lot more work, this toddler-rearing…compared to when she was a baby.  You’d think it’d be the other way around, but it’s not.  ( Read more... )

So much to say, so little time. Bruce starts working from home on Friday...finally. It's been a long time coming. It's gonna be nice to save all the gas money & we're also thinking about selling his car. We'll see.

It's been a barely tolerable week. Zoe's been really sick. First Bruce had it, then she got it. I thought I was OK until Tues., then it got me too.
