I found out today that my birth "mother" died last night. She was only 52. All I know is that she had MS & supposedly had a bad reaction to some drug which left her in a semi-vegetative state for the past few years. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Got Tori tickets this morning! Yay! Pretty decent seats too. I haven't seen Tori in forever. I missed the last couple tours. Bruce has never seen her live, so this will be our first Tori concert together. Granted, I think she's gone completely bonkers, but I still love her & it's always a good show. -husband surprises you with an iPod nano (yay for husband!)
-receive enormous Dairy Queen cake
-visitation with old dear friend bearing gifts from foreign lands
-take adorable offspring to zoo for first time

Not a bad birthday weekend...

Now if I could just find some time to peruse iTunes...

I found out yesterday that my "ex-dog" had to be put to sleep this week. He developed a tumor & got suddenly sick. I guess the vet felt it was futile to operate considering his age. He was 10. I had him for about 7 years. At first it didn't really hit me, probably because I haven't seen him in a few years, so there was definitely some detachment... ( Read more... )

It’s 80 degrees in here. I don’t like 80 degrees. Here’s why it’s 80 degrees…day before yesterday, our furnace/central air unit went poof…& by poof, I mean, died with a thud & proceeded to blow stinky fried furnace fumes throughout the entire place.
