I am posting partially to be able to use my new icon. My nephew is so stinkin' cute. This morning we bought him a wooden rocking motorcycle from a very nice man at the farmers market. I love my husband. He gets so excited over the most seemingly insignificant things. Right now he is using his favorite new toy to make dinner. Happy New Year friends! I'm sitting in a beautiful condo in Panama City Beach, Florida (sorry Danaid...I won't mention the bit about the basking in the sun on the beach this morning.) and am enjoying being with my husband and stepgirls. Autumn
I've been out all day long shopping and such. What a beautiful day - blue sky, crisp breeze, leaves falling. I love Autumn, it's my favorite season. I got some really cute things and a few things that I have been needing wanting for quite a while...like new pillows for my couch and sunglasses. I just joined facebook two days ago and I already have a bunch of friends - some I have not seen since High School and a couple I was not really friends with at the time. Wierd. -
cooking with kids...
Today we made pumpkin cookies at school. I love cooking with the kids. We learn new vocab ("recipe", "ingredients", "zest"), learn how to measure, count and mix, we talk about the terms "whole", "half", and "quarter" and the children get an opportunity many of them don't get in their own households.
