Good advice, from one who knows.

And I'm pleased to see you seem to have a good attitude about it, in spite of the pain it causes you when you look back with regret on the past. You've changed and you have grown from this experience -- just be sure you don't let your regret over it drag you back into fretting. Okay? ;-)

Loving you muchly -- and I'm very proud of you!

This is an excellent post, Kimby. Good for you! I know that you've been going through this period of adjustment, and I am just absolutely thrilled that you're sticking to your guns and making sure that when you do decide you want something enough that you purchase it through thoughtful and careful means.

Bless you, sweetheart. You know your weakness and you are determined to take control. This is a wonderful message and example to send to people out there.

*lots of proud hugs*

I understand your plight a great deal. For the last two years I have only paid for things based on the money I had in my checking account (with the exception of gas for my car because I wanted to reduce that to a single payment each month so I could track the spending better). I even started a community debtproofliving after reading the book my Mary Hunt of the same title so that if anyone else wanted to share their struggled toward the goal of rearranging their spending priorities, we could support each other. (Still, hasn't been very active in the last few months ( ... )
