last night sigur ros played the newly-renovated riverside theatre in milwaukee--a surprisingly gorgeous and spooky venue. anyways, near the end of the opening act (called anima--the female strings section of sigur ros) i recognized a familiar sound. anima was using--as a background beat--the duncan williams show theme song. it was hilarious ( Read more... )

I saw "The Squid and the Whale" last night with my friend Maggie. It was pretty good--Jeff Daniels plays a Bill Murray-esque role, and Billy Baldwin is a frickin hilarious tennis instructor. Last night my friend Corey and I attempted to go to a U2Zoo concert, Milwaukee's own U2 tribute band. We saw them play earlier this year at a Marquette basketball event, and they were hilarious, and since we have become fanatics of the Zoo.
