I love Jerry Lee. If it passes I will take him for you. ( and Peanut) there is not a linder lovable dog them him. I bet if those legislators met himn they would change their mind.

I just read about this in today's AJC. And the bill is going to be toned way down to restrictions against owners about having pit bulls on leashes, muzzles, etc. According to the article, the original language which would have banned the sale, transport, and ownership of pit bulls in Georgia is not going into the bill. Still, why do they need a law that discriminates against one particular breed of dog? Something tells me this dog ain't gonna hunt...

But still, I don't think I should have sanctions put upon me for being a responsible dog owner. And the more people who oppose it, the less likely it will come up again (registered voters and all).

I really just want to nip this in the bud.

Well, obviously it's the dog's fault for acting like a dog, and not the owner's fault for taking the necessary precautions in raising or handling the dog. Therefore, the dog must be punished and not the owner.
