Unfortunately it slid a bit in the back of the Uhaul. So there was gas throughout all the lines. It was a bit cranky to start. I think it's feeling a bit better now.
His name is Cy...and hopefully will be with me longer than the last one.
Things are going fine now. I will not be sending them out until next week though because of a shortage of ribbon but I think we are still right on track. My mom is finishing up the ribbon and I am going to make Brian attach labels tonight. I may need a little help actually stuffing the envelopes and sealing them but it should not be until next weekend at least. I will let you know once it gets closer if I can use some help.
And thank you so much for all of your help. You really got us in a good place with the assembly.
BTW, I don't know what you're talking about that none of your latex fits you any more-- you looked fabulous in that long purple keyhole dress Saturday night!
hey, Ray and darkerdays sent me to you... said you had your scooter stolen recently. I've done everything I can think of (scoot.net. , calling shops, craigslist, atlanta scooter forum, lj... etc), but wondered if you ever had any luck on the recovery of yours?

Ain't gonna happen in my case. It's been almost a month and nothing. The cops won't do shit for you.
It really sucks... they make it like you have to get it recovered yourself!
What I did - I emailed EVERY Genuine (the manufacturer of my scooter) dealer in FL, GA, TN, NC, SC, and AL with the VIN number and a description of what it looked like before it got stolen. I also posted it to scoot.net, called motorcycle and scooter repair shops, etc... I think you've covered all of your bases.
I'm so so sorry this happened to you. Your scooter is adorable. People suck ass. Is it a Vespa?
Let me know if there's any way I can help. Did you have insurance on it? If so, don't take the first offer... Make sure you hold onto your bill of sale, title and any other paperwork you may have.

no no... not a Vespa. I WISH I could get a Vespa!! It was actually a used chinese piece of plastic crap (a Geely with over 1000k miles on it) that was probably going to fall apart at a crucial moment and wind me up under a truck, but it was MY piece of crap and I loved it. It isn't worth anything, and so it wasn't insured, but I don't have a car, and actually love scootering for many reasons so I was hoping I'd get lucky and someone would spot it.
I did get a lead on a scooter "chop shop" nearby. As soon as I can muster the appropriate companions, I thought I'd go peek over their fence. If you send me a description of yours or a photo, I'll let you know if I see it.

That purple dress... yea, I love that dress.
I guess I was a bit of a terror on Saturday. I shouldn't have even gone.

That's what my scooter looked like. Although call it a hunch - it's probably rustoleum black now.
Good luck on finding it!
