I start maternity leave today. Hooray Hooray hooray

It took 3 days in labour, 2 nights with no sleep, lots of pain and loads of pushing, but my beautful little boy is here. Actually, he's two weeks old now. Can't believe he's growing up so quickly, and already incredibly spoilt. Thanks to everybody for all the fab pressies he's been bought. grandad died this morning.

My brother nearly died last night.

You would expect that if you were in a car which turns atleast 5 times when you are doing 70mph along the motorway that everybody would be leaving in a box. How did they all just walk away with cuts and bruises?

Nick and i are getting a dog.

She is a gorgeous 5 year old german shepherd called Jodie. Has been really well trained and has very cute floppy ears. Should be picking her up to live with us on 31st january. How exciting. Really did not think that now would be the perfect time to get a dog but never mind. Stranger things have happened.

My little baby is perfect. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Found out the sex as my Grandad is now very ill. Has cancer.

The procedure seemed to go well. Got all the fluid they needed, but didn't give me the anaesthetic i was promised by my midwife. Yes it did hurt. Alot! Struggling to move too quickly now, but should be fine in the next few days. Now i just have to sit tight and wait for the results ( Read more... )

Had an unannounced visit from my midwife this morning. The results from my blood tests are back. For a person in my age the risk of carrying a child with Downs Syndrome is 1:1373. Mine is 1:192. I have an amnio centesis booked at 10am tomorrow morning ( Read more... )

Saw my midwife on saturday. she thinks i may have some condition called hyperemesis gravidarum. In english, i'm gonna chuck up 'til the baby is out. I have until tomorrow for it to stop then i am under strict orders to go to the doc's and get some vitamins. I can't eat meat, carbohydrate or protein still.
