Why do home-made sandwiches taste better when you cut them into two triangles instead of eating it whole or cutting it into two rectangles??

This weekend I attempted to get on the roof to help in putting on our new roof.  Our roof has a 7/12 pitch, which means that it isn't dangerously steep, but it isn't comfortably flat either.  I got up the ladder and stepped onto the roof (hanging on for dear life to the tow boards, which are 2X4s that are nailed into the roof to help you walk along ( Read more... )

Today at work we were talking about the first car that we had.  I really liked my first car.  It was a 5 speed 1986 Nissan Stanza, with 4WD (which I used once).  My parents paid $800, and I can't remember how many miles it had on it.  It got me from school and back and around town for 2 years before it died.  I still think that it was my fault.  I ( Read more... )

I think it was Rachel who posted a while ago about always wanting Chic-Fil-A on Sunday.  Well, I experience this almost every Sunday here in Charleston, except it is with EVERYTHING in Charleston, not just Chick-Fil-A.  It seems that everything is closed on Sunday here.  Which really sucks, because Sunday is an entire half of the weekend, and maybe ( Read more... )

The beautiful weather has ended... the cold has begun.

Today Tommy and I looked at houses today with our realtor.  We looked at 10 houses.  Out of those 10, we LOVED 2, liked 4 more and tossed the remaining 4 in the garbage can.

I am 25 years old and yesterday I bought my first black dress.  And I am in LOVE with it.  I got it from White House Black Market.  I liked shopping in there for a dress because they didn't have many colors to choose from: black, white, grey, or beige.  All of their dresses seemed simple, which is the kind of dress that I look for.  I think that is ( Read more... )
